Champions crowned, 12U boys battling in CCPARD youth baseball league

Cove track athletes get in work at AAU track meet on Saturday

By TJ Maxwell Cove Leader-Press The Copperas Cove Summer Track program recently hosted an (AAU) summer track meet at Bulldawg Stadium. Incoming senior Kyle Stifflemire neared his own school record by clearing 16-feet even for first place in the 18-and-under pole vault during Saturday’s AAU meet.

C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl will have a new home.

The C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl which made Copperas Cove its home for the last 17 years is moving.  Known locally as the HOT Bowl, it has produced one national junior college champion team, while hosting 17 junior college games and 5 NCAA Division II games.

Bulldawgs go 2-1 at Lake Travis 7 on 7 state qualifying tournament
