Animal Shelter hosts vaccination clinic

By KATHLEEN STARLING  The Copperas Cove Animal Shelter hosted a pet vaccination clinic Wednesday evening at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, offering low cost pet vaccinations, nail trimming, licensing and microchipping.

Prepping for School

Grace United Methodist’s Back to School Buzz is the church’s largest outreach event of the year. In under an hour, over 300 bags of school supplies, and 100 haircuts were given away. Parking at, or even near, Grace united ethodist Church at 3 p.m.

Kitchens running for Coryell County Sheriff

EDC executive director resigns, set to retire

By LYNETTE SOWELL Polo Enriquez, executive director of the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation, tendered his resignation to the board, with his last day on the job being today. Enriquez is retiring, and he said his family has already moved to their new home in the Olympia, Wash. area.

  By PAMELA GRANT A flood of incoming freshmen and their parents poured into the Lea Ledger Auditorium in order to get a head start on their journey through high school. The Copperas Cove High School hosted its  annual Dawg House Welcome Monday morning.
