CCFD teaches children about fire safety

By PAMELA GRANT Cove Leader-Press The Copperas Cove Fire Department taught children about fire safety on Tuesday. The safety lesson was part of the Copperas Cove Public Library’s ongoing Summer Reading Program.

Hope Pregnancy Center receives $2,600 donation

Explosion at Coryell Memorial Hospital leaves one dead, 15 injured

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  A Tuesday afternoon explosion at a construction site at Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville, killed one construction worker and injured 15. Initially, the number of injured was released as 12 on Tuesday, but by Wednesday morning had climbed to 15.

State Highway 9 repair work continues
