School board swears in new member, holds monthly meeting

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press    The Copperas Cove Independent School District board of trustees will gain a new member, with the swearing in of Jeff Gorres for Place 5, and hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m., in the CCISD administration board room at 408 S. Main St.

Copperas Cove captures first place in Temple Christmas parade

Special to Leader-Press    After receiving second place two years in a row, the Copperas Cove Five Hills royalty literally popped out of glittered Christmas boxes to capture first place in the 73rd Annual Temple Christmas Parade.  The theme of this year’s parade was the 12 Days of Christmas.
