Copperas Cove voters head to the polls starting Monday

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  Early voting starts on Monday, Oct. 18 for the Nov. 2 general election. Early voting will run from Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 29. On the ballot for Copperas Cove voters are the mayoral race and a special election for Place 3 on the Copperas Cove city council.

Students create art to get animals adopted

Special to Leader-Press  Five pieces of one-of-a-kind custom artwork lined the table of the Copperas Cove City Council Workshop on Tuesday. The masterpieces all depicted cats or dogs and some also with people to promote animal adoption in the inaugural Copperas Cove Artwork for Animals Contest.
