Students at Hettie Halstead Elementary are having the chance to keep moving in P.E. class while practicing their math skills at the same time. During P.E. for three Fridays in October, students are participating in what’s called a Mathnasium. On Friday, the second graders had their first turn in the morning and the fifth graders in the afternoon. The class began much like any other P.E. class with a warmup, the students divided by boys and girls.
