Copperas Cove residents who need a hand with groceries are invited to stop by Market With A Mission on Friday, Oct. 9 at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, from 4-7 p.m.
D&S Cuddling Critters Foundation has partnered with the Central Texas Food Bank to provide free food for those in need—no paperwork or ID required.
The market also promotes local vendors, organizations, and nonprofits that serve the community.
There will be community resource booths to include veterans services, mental health resources, healthcare organizations, children’s and family services, senior resources, employment and education opportunities, along with local nonprofit organizations.
The next Market With A Mission Community events will be held on Friday, Nov. 20; Friday, Dec. 18; and Friday, Jan. 8, also at the Copperas Cove Civic Center. The goal of the Markets is to serve a least 5,000 people per session.
The prior Market With A Mission was held in January of this year, when they distributed about 2,400 pounds of food.
