TxDOT is in the process of making plans to replace the old Leon River Bridge in Gatesville, but has hit a few expensive snags in the process. The historic bridge, built in 1904, needs to be replaced, yet a number of locals want to help preserve the bridge, even after a newer, wider bridge is built.
