CTC Board approves $162.5 million budget

The Central Texas College (CTC) Board of Trustees approved a $162.5 million dollar budget for the fiscal year that beginning September 1 and lowered the tax rate to 13.66 cents per $100 assessed
property value, the 23rd consecutive year the tax rate has been steady or lowered. “We are extremely proud of the fact we have once again lowered the tax rate,” said Dr. Thomas Klincar, CTC chancellor. “For more than 20 years, we have not seen an increase in the tax rate.” The approved budget includes $20 million in capital improvements and major repairs to the campus in Killeen based on a recent facilities condition assessment.
