Cove cadets learn valuable lessons at Fort Worth contest

Cove high school JROTC cadets returned from Saturday’s drill competition in Fort Worth evaluating lessons learned and ready to ruck up for the next contest. While several area schools did place at the Cowtown Classic Invitational Drill Competition on Saturday, the Bulldawg Battalion came up emptyhanded. JROTC Instructor Chief Enrique Herrera said the cadets realize that there is much more work to be done. “They did as well as could be expected for the first drill meet, but they could have taken practices more seriously and paid more attention to the details,” he said.
