Clear Creek Baptist celebrates 143rd birthday

The Clear Creek Baptist Church celebrated its 143rd birthday on Sunday with a homecoming  service at 11 a.m. and a celebratory meal at noon. Clear Creek Baptist was organized  in 1872 by six charter families, and existed even before Copperas  Cove, which was founded in 1879. Many church members expressed  pride in being able to celebrate their long history.
