City Council to meet tonight

The Copperas Cove City Council will convene tonight for a 5 p.m. workshop for discussion and direction on constructing a frisbee disc golf course at Ogletree Gap Park by Parks and Recreation Directory Joseph Pace, followed by their regular scheduled meeting in council chambers. The council has three items on their consent agenda for the meeting which include accepting the quarterly investment report, purchasing a medium duty dump truck and the resignation letter of Place 5 Councilman Kenn Smith. In a letter dated March 16, Smith feels compelled to resign because a question about his ethics and integrity has been raised by a senior city staff member and he does not wish to continue to serve under a cloud of suspicion.
