Bikers and dancers collect school supplies at Jokers Southern Nights

By DAVID MORRIS

Wrapping up their month-long campaign to collect school supplies for the students of Copperas Cove Independent School District, employees of Jokers Southern Night, The Dollhouse and motorcycle clubs Shell Shocked of Coryell County and the Green Knights of Fort Hood embarked on a poker run making six stops collecting school supplies from Copperas Cove to Harker Heights and raising $728 in cash. “I’m an employee here at Jokers and we asked the motorcycle club if they wanted to participate in the days events,” said Ryan Boatwright of the Shell Shocked motorcycle club. “This is a great way to raise money and collect things the kids need for the school year. We had boxes in Harker Heights that people donated to and it helps a Copperas Cove kid.”
