The streets of downtown will be closed starting Friday as the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce takes over for the 20th annual Krist Kindl Markt from Friday until Sunday with 84 vendors registered for the Markt. “Last year we had 84 vendors sign up and about half of them showed up because of the weather,” Chamber Vice President Liz Sherman said. “This year we already have 84 signed up with more coming in daily.” Last year’s market saw freezing rain and more than 48 hours below freezing. Forecast for the weekend’s sales hours are sunny with temperatures in the 70s on Saturday following a high of 75 degrees and a 50 percent chance of rain on Friday.
