CCISD tax ratification election passes by nearly 3-1 margin

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press   State funding for the Copperas Cove Independent School District will now increase by $4.1 million after Copperas Cove voters approved a tax ratification election, 71.8 percent to 28.2 percent, on Saturday.

Council approves city budget, tax rate

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  The Copperas Cove city council approved the city’s annual budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, as well as the tax rate, during its Tuesday night meeting.  For the fiscal year 2018-2019, the city will have an operating budget of $37,033,386.

Council to vote on tax rate, city budget tonight

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  The Copperas Cove city council will be meeting this evening at 6 p.m., during which it will be adopting the city’s budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, as well as the tax rate for the fiscal year.  The council took a record vote to propose a tax rate of 79.
