25-year-old Samuel Patrick Hunter was arrested by Copperas Cove police on Saturday in connection with an aggravated robbery which occurred at the Longhorn Internet Café, located at 827 E. Bus. 190 in Copperas Cove.

According to a press release from Sgt. Martin Ruiz issued on Sunday, at approximately 2:14 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, Copperas Cove police responded to a report of an aggravated robbery at the internet café.

“Upon arrival officers learned a white male suspect wearing a blue sweat shirt had fled the scene on foot after brandishing a handgun inside the business and demanding money,” Ruiz stated. “A short time later officers were advised a citizen had the suspect detained in the 900 block of Industrial Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and were able to identify the suspect from the description given by the victim and surveillance video.”

The suspect, identified as Hunter, was then transported to the Copperas Cove Police Department where he was charged with aggravated robbery. Hunter was arraigned on Sunday by Justice of the Peace Bill Price and received a $25,000 bond.

There were no reported injuries to the employee during the incident. The amount of money stolen from the café was not released as of press time.
