On Tuesday, June 9, the Copperas Cove Police Department listed 12 cases of vehicle burglaries, engaging in organized criminal activity, as well as one case of credit/debit card abuse for its daily report.
The report lists engaging in organized criminal activity and burglary of vehicles in the 1200 block (two incidents), 1400 block, and 1600 block of Dryden Avenue; the 700 and 800 blocks of North 19th Street; two incidents in the 800 block of Industrial Avenue; the 1300 block of Dekort Circle; the 800 block of South 13th Street; the 600 block of Courtney Lane; and the 1400 block Janet Lane.
The department is investigating and is gathering available video surveillance from residents in those neighborhoods.
“There are no suspects at this time; however, the investigations are still ongoing and neighborhood canvasses for surveillance may develop further leads,” said Lt. Rick Counter with the Copperas Cove Police Department in response to an email on Wednesday morning.
Counter said that there was no forced entry in any of the cases, and all of the vehicles were unlocked.
One individual, Isaiah Crutcher, was arrested on Tuesday for similar charges for incidents that occurred on May 31, but those charges are not related to the June 9 cases.
