Special to the Leader-Press
Pink Warrior Angels (PWA) will be setting up with 20 vendors for the 8th Annual Pink Block Party on Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at HomeBase Lumber in Copperas Cove.
This is a community event that is free to all, with a special gift for breast cancer warriors.
This year is even more special as it is Pink Warrior Angels’ 10th birthday.
There will be raffle baskets with proceeds going to PWA, as well as games and an appearance by the Chick-fil-A Cow.
HomeBase will also donate any rounded-up change from purchases in the store from October to PWA in November.
The Copperas Cove Jr High Cheer and Starlettes, the SC Lee Courgerttes and Cheer teams, will be on the list to perform for the public, as well as the Copperas Cove High School Copperettes and Cheer teams.
This year will be the first year that The Pride of Cove Drumline will also be in attendance.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with HomeBase. Bringing awareness to our community and honoring those who are gone. It is important for PWA to make your Pink Count,” said Julie Moser, founder of Pink Warrior Angels.
