The Copperas Cove Moose Lodge is holding a fundraiser on Saturday, April 26 to benefit Matt Franklin, a Copperas Cove man who is battling stage 4 lung cancer.
Franklin, an alum of the Copperas Cove class of 1977, has been a longtime resident of Copperas Cove and recently learned of his diagnosis. At this point, he is unable to work and the fundraiser is being held to help offset expenses during this time.
The fundraiser goes from noon until 5 p.m. and includes live and silent auctions, raffle items, a 50-50 drawing, corn hole tournament, and more.
There will be brisket, burgers and fries for sale, starting at noon.
Signups for the corn hole tournament are from noon until 1 p.m., and it is $10 per person to participate in the single elimination tournament which starts at 1 p.m.
The silent auction takes place from noon until 4 p.m., with a live auction starting at 3 p.m.
Silent auction items and gift baskets are still being accepted at the Donlie McMullin Real Estate office, located at 202 S. 1st St. in Copperas Cove. For more information contact Cindy Smith at 254-371-3259.
The lodge is located at 2828 South F.M. 116 in Copperas Cove.
