Coryell County is currently working on a Broadband Evaluation project, with the goal to evaluate the current broadband infrastructure within Coryell County and identify the gaps in broadband service.

The county has hired Foresite Services, a Georgia-based company that works with communities  and clients to bolster their connectivity.

The online survey will be available through Oct. 26, said Thuy Le Ho, Broadband Engineering Regional Leader for Foresite Group.

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and can be found at https://coryellcounty.servicezones.net/.

Participants are asked to complete the survey using their primary home wired or wireless internet connection. At the end of the survey, a speed test will be available so residents can see their current connection capabilities.

“By taking this simple survey and indicating your interest in faster, more reliable internet, you are helping bring your neighborhood closer to unlocking the next step,” the City of Copperas Cove stated in a press release. The survey does not involve sales and those who take the survey are not making a commitment to any type of particular service.

Wired ethernet connections are preferred to Wi-Fi, but for those taking the survey while connected to their home Wi-Fi, it is asked that the resident be as close as possible to their router.

Residents can use their cell phone to complete the survey, but their phones should be connected to their home Wi-Fi signal.

Otherwise, taking the survey from a cell phone is discouraged.
