Two local organizations are teaming up for one event on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful (KCCB) and Not Rich, But Enriched are sharing space at City Park for the Fall Sweep and for the 2nd annual Cove Pup Fun Run or Walk 5K.
The Cove Pup Fun Run or Walk 5k will include water and treat stops along the way for humans and their pups. Leashes are required. Strollers, wagons, and carts are allowed. Registration is $19 for humans and $1 for each pup you are bringing with you.
Onsite registration will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Raising Cane’s Dog Park, and the walk will begin at 10 a.m. Free events with registration will start immediately following the conclusion of the 5k. Contests will include Best Costume, Best Trick, Musical Sit, and Best Doggie Beard or Stache. The contests are free with registration, and there are other paid options like event shirts for purchase. The event link is:
https://form.jotform.com/nrbectx/CovePupFunRun5j, It is very important when you register online to disclose how many dogs you will be bringing so there are enough treats and water for everyone. All money raised benefits NRBE’s community projects.
Those who are interested in volunteer opportunities should reach out at ccpup5k@gmail.com.
Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful is also hosting its annual Fall Sweep from 9-11 a.m. at Copperas Cove City Park. The Fall Sweep is a statewide initiative of Keep Texas Beautiful.
All interested volunteers are invited to meet at City Park, adjacent to the pond and stage area for check-in and area assignments. This event will include a clean-up of the park and all necessary supplies will be available and provided to all participants.
