Cove sales tax revenues inch ahead from 2013

Copperas Cove will receive a sales tax rebate for February 2014 in the amount of $418,157.85, which edged up 1.4 percent from the $412,354.56 the city received in February 2013, according to the monthly report from the office of state comptroller Susan Combs. This ends the city’s five-month downward trend in sales tax rebates which began in September 2013. However, 2014 total figures still show city sales tax rebates to be down 3.7 percent at $718,686.35 compared to 2013’s amount of $746,363.80 at this time last year.
