During a steady downpour on Friday morning, eight sets of appliances were delivered to an eight-plex on Casa Drive.
Cove House Emergency Homeless Shelter owns and operates a transitional housing program at the eight-plex and purchased a brand-new refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and over-the-stove microwave oven for each two-bedroom apartment.
The appliances were paid for with some of the funds from a $35,000 grant it received in 2015. The grant also enabled the emergency homeless shelter to pay off the mortgage for the eight-plex.
