Because of the investigation into some December 2025 vehicle burglaries and the help of video surveillance from residents, the Copperas Cove Police Department announced on Tuesday afternoon that it has made multiple arrests.
“When patrol officers initially responded to reports of suspicious activity and vehicle burglaries, several suspects fled the area upon law enforcement’s arrival. Patrol officers were able to detain multiple individuals at the scene and begin identifying those involved,” Lt. Krystal Baker with the Copperas Cove Police Department said in a media release.
Baker said that the department’s Criminal Investigations Divisions conducted extensive followup, canvassed neighborhoods, reviewed video surveillance provided by community members, and worked to locate and interview witnesses.
“At this time, a total of seven suspects, six adults and one juvenile, have been identified, resulting in 39 criminal charges, including Burglary of a Vehicle, Theft of a Firearm, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity,” Baker said.
She added that three arrests have been made so far and there are ongoing efforts to bring the remaining suspects into custody.
“This case reflects the strong collaboration between responding patrol officers, detectives and members of our community who provided valuable information and surveillance footage that assisted investigators in identifying those responsible.
“As a reminder to residents, please remember to lock your vehicles, remove valuables when possible, and avoid leaving firearms unsecured inside your vehicle to help prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.”
Baker said the investigation remains ongoing.
