Chick-fil-A hosting Little Squeezers event in support of Lemonade Day

Special to Leader-Press

This Saturday, kids will get a behind-the-scenes peek at how Chick-fil-A makes its famous lemonade while coming up with a recipe of their own for Lemonade Day.
The fun continues with a lemon squeezing contest and an opportunity to decorate a cooking apron.
Lemonade Day staff will be available to register youth for participation in this year’s program.
Little Squeezers starts at 9 a.m. at the Chick-fil-A restaurants in Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, and Killeen. The young entrepreneurs will learn how to make lemonade, practice squeezing lemons and also have a chance to decorate aprons and chef hats.
Chick-fil-A Cow and the Lemonade Day mascot will be on hand as well.
Lemonade Day is a free, community-wide program that is part of a national initiative to teach children how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand.
Families can register at local events or online at forthood.lemonadeday.org to access the digital curriculum.
Lemonade Day will be held the first weekend in May and is presented by First National Bank Texas and Fort Hood National Bank, along with Fort Hood Family Housing and local sponsors H-E-B, CenturyLink and Chick-fil-A.
