CCISD preps for summer meals

The Copperas Cove Independent School District Child Nutrition Department will be making some changes and adding additional nutrition resources for students including adding healthy food to the district’s menu as well as making it easier for parents to feed their children during the summer. The 2010 Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act made changes to the lunch guidelines for Copperas Cove for the last four years. For the 2014-2015 school year, the school district is implementing the new breakfast guidelines per the USDA.
