Daniella Gooden of Copperas Cove was recently selected to participate in the 2017 Miss Teen pageant competition that will take place on Sunday, May 7. Daniella learned of her acceptance into this year’s competition after the pageant announced selections following interviews in the local area. Prior to the interview, she had submitted an application to compete.

She is a junior at Copperas Cove High School.

Gooden will be competing in the Miss Teen division for a share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts to be distributed to contestants. The pageant has four divisions in which young ladies ages of 7 through 20 compete in modeling routines, which include Casual Wear and Formal Wear. Most importantly, Daniella will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing with this year’s judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.

If Daniella wins the title of Miss Teen, she will go on to the national competition in Orlando, Fla., where more than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented. Each winner will also receive the expense-paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.

Community businesses, organizations, and private individuals will assist Daniella in participating in this year’s competition by becoming one of her official sponsors. Through sponsorship, contestants receive the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support to prepare for the pageant.

Any business, organization, or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Daniella may contact the Miss Teen pageant coordinator, at 1-877-910-4190.
