A new healthy dining option in Copperas Cove, “A Better Nutrition”, has arrived.

The brainchild of Teresa Perdomo and Iris Bess, two determined and passionate women hailing from Panama, the restaurant’s inauguration last week was a celebration of their shared vision for promoting wellness through nutritious and delicious cuisine.

What began as a humble endeavor from their own homes soon blossomed into a full-fledged restaurant as Perdomo and Bess met and discovered their mutual dedication to health-conscious dining. They spent years crafting recipes, honing their culinary skills, and researching the best ingredients to create a menu that would satisfy the palates of Copperas Cove residents while nurturing their bodies.

The grand opening ceremony was graced by Marcus Fuller, a Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, who applauded the efforts of Perdomo and Bess in bringing A Better Nutrition to fruition. Fuller commended the duo for their dedication to providing the community with a dining experience that not only tastes good but also supports overall well-being.

A ribbon cutting was held in front of the storefront where Fuller spoke. There was a lot of smiling and laughing from the crew members and owners as they saw their vision being brought to life.

The menu at A Better Nutrition boasts an extensive array of mouthwatering dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients, ensuring the freshest flavors.

From a variety of berry and plant-based drinks, coffee, smoothies, teas, and a variety of sweet but healthy snacks every item on the menu is thoughtfully prepared to cater to diverse dietary preferences.

For example, one of the menu items is a protein waffle with fruit, and another is a fresh fruit waffle bowl with yogurt. Beverages include drinks such as pina colada smoothie, the “Mangonada”, watermelon mojito, and more.

Teresa Perdomo, one of the co-founders, expressed her gratitude to the community for the warm reception they received.

“We are thrilled to finally open our doors and share our passion for nourishing food with the people of Copperas Cove,” Perdomo said. “We’ll see what happens in the future of our business. What our plans are right now are to bring better nutrition over here instead of everyone going out and eating all the fast food. There’s not a lot of places where you can go eat nutritious food this is food that will give you energy. Fast food is expensive and not good for you.”

Iris Bess, the other co-founder, added, “We believe that good nutrition is the foundation of a healthy life. We use fresh fruits We don’t use any processed food or sugars. Once you order something we are in the back making it fresh.”

As news of the grand opening spread, residents of Copperas Cove flocked to A Better Nutrition, eager to sample the enticing dishes on offer. The positive feedback from early patrons has been overwhelming, with many praising the restaurant’s commitment to promoting a healthier lifestyle.

With their shared vision and the support of the community, Teresa Perdomo and Iris Bess have brought A Better Nutrition to life, creating a culinary haven where nourishment and taste coexist.

As Copperas Cove welcomes this exciting addition to its dining scene, locals can look forward to savoring meals that will not only satisfy their taste buds but also contribute to their overall well-being.
