Armor of God Radio, KOOV, 106.9fm, is hosting a Benefit Bash on Saturday, Aug. 21, to commemorate the station’s 3rd year of broadcasting in Central Texas.

The Benefit Bash will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church’s Social Hall, with a cocktail hour beginning at 6:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 7:30 p.m.

“This year’s Benefit Bash is going to bigger and better.” said Armor of God Radio’s Executive Director, Tom McNew.  “We are really excited to be hosting at Holy Family again this year and have a couple of surprises for everyone who attends!”

Armor of God Radio is Central Texas’ home for Catholic Radio and is proud to provide the voice of reason to the 350,000 people in its listening area.  The station’s programs include a variety of live call-in shows and interviews on many different topics involving spirituality, marriage, family and personal well-being, and the Daily Mass; as well as pre-recorded shows featuring Bible studies, news, and cultural programs.

Recently Armor of God launched its own locally produced show – “The Hometown Hero” – a show dedicated to the men and women in Central Texas who are doing God’s work to make communities better.

Additional details and the current programming schedule are available at the station’s website:  www.armorofgodradio.com

The 2021 Benefit Bash will feature a dynamic guest speaker, Father Hezekias Carnazzo, who is the Executive Director and Founder of the Institute of Catholic Culture.

Father Hezekias graduated from Christendom College in 2004 and completed a master’s degree in systematic theology with an Advanced Apostolic Catechetical Diploma at Christendom’s Graduate School. In 2009, he founded the Institute of Catholic Culture and has since served as its Executive Director.

Ordained to the priesthood on May 1, 2016, he also serves as the Director of the Office of Catechesis and Evangelization for the Melkite Greek Catholic Eparchy of Newton (California). He has lectured throughout the U.S., is a regular guest on the Son Rise Morning Show and has appeared on EWTN’s Sunday Night Live and Marcus Grodi’s Coming Home Network. He and his wife Linda have seven children.

Father Hezekias is also the co-host of “Face to Face with the ICC” which can be heard every Friday at noon on KOOV.

“Father Hezekias will certainly get your blood pumping.” McNew said, “I’ve heard him speak at hundreds of seminars with the ICC and at many other events, and I always learn something new.  And walk away inspired to learn more, do more, and serve more.”

Additionally, the Benefit Bash will provide guests an opportunity at several premium prizes that will be raffled off during the evening’s events.  Featuring a “DIY like St Joseph” package, a “Spa Basket”, a “Winelover’s Special”, and a “Family Night” package, attendees will be able to buy tickets throughout the night – the more tickets you buy, the better your chances of winning on of these premium packages.

Table sponsorships are available at four different tiers, beginning at the “Angel” level for $250, “Archangel” for $500, “Cherubim” for $750, and “Seraphim” for $1000.  Each sponsored table will be placed closer to the stage, will receive a complimentary bottle(s) of wine.  Businesses that purchase or sponsor tables can also take advantage of complimentary radio spots that can be used to advertise your business. Guests at the 2 top tiered tables will also receive a special gift. And all table sponsors will be recognized with their name and/or logo in the program for the evening.
