Temple’s Lache Seastrunk signs with Canadian Football’s Winnepeg Blue Bombers

Special to the Leader-Press

The Centex Calvary Professional Indoor Football team recently announced local standout, Lache Seastrunk, has been signed by Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

Lache Seastrunk played Temple High School before going to Baylor University and being signed to several NFL teams.

Lache joined Centex Calvary during some of his down time to help us build our new team and to give back to the community he came from. He really appreciates all our fans that have showed him support. Lache will finish the team’s home game schedule before joining the Blue Bombers.

“Lache has been a great asset to our team and has been a role model for many of our rookie players,” stated Randy Sanders (Owner Centex Cavalry). “The Centex Cavalry want to give a special thanks to Lache for his hard work and support.”

“I am proud to lose these players to the upper leagues, but this puts a larger challenge on me to build a strong team this season,” said coach Perez.

Perez understands this is what we want to do for our players and we will continue to build a solid team for the future.

The Centex Calvary organization wishes Lache the best and look forward to him having a long successful professional career.
