Sitting behind home plate is a new thing for Copperas Cove junior Angel Mullin, but you wouldn’t know that by her performance on Tuesday night. In her first outing as catcher after only two practices at the position, she handled three different pitchers on the way to a 16-0 shutout of the Killeen Lady Roos on Tuesday. “At first I was nervous,” she said, “but then but once we started getting a rhythm and my teammates kept picking my head up I got a lot more comfortable. It was way better once we all started talking and communicating.”
