    Teams band together to keep kickball in Cove

    For members of the North Pointe Church and Free Ballers kickball teams, Sunday night’s city kickball championship meant a chance to be the best, but also set examples. “Everyone here likes to compete and all of us have kids that play something and the kids are watching us so we have to be competitive in the right manner,” said Northpointe player/coach Brent Sanders. “One thing we say is we have to have a champion mentality and people don’t determine if we’re a champion, we determine that. Even if things don’t go our way, we have to keep the right mind-set and compete.”
