The Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs opened District 8-5A with a convincing 25-1 victory over the Killeen Kangaroos Tuesday night. Junior pitcher Carlee Duran pitched a complete game throwing five innings in the run ruled contest while striking out six on the night. “My screwball and my changeup were working great tonight,” said Duran. “There were a few times that they got ahold of the ball but overall it wasn’t a bad night.
