Lady Dawgs battle, but fall to Rowlett in best-of-three-series

Cove Leader-Press WACO – Two innings decided the fate of the Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs softball team during their best-ofthree series against the Garland Rowlett Lady Eagles. The sixth inning in both games proved vital. Rowlett plated five runners in the sixth inning of game 1 for a 5-0 victory and poked four runs home in the sixth inning of game 2 to rally from behind for the 7-4 win. The Lady Dawgs connected on nine hits in four runs in Game 2 after going scoreless on four hits in Game 1.
