Grand slam leads Cove past Killeen

    The night may have begun a bit shaky for senior Copperas Cove senior Bryce Delano, but after five consecutive strikeouts on the mound spanning the second and third innings and a grand slam at the plate in the fourth, he was settled in just fine. Delano began the night with a four-pitch walk to Killeen’s Marquis Winston which led to a three-run first inning for the Kangaroos. He then struck out five of the next six batters faced on his way to a dominating performance from the mound.
