For the first 16 minutes, it looked like the first district win by the Belton Tigers was inevitable and the Bulldawgs’ chances at a postseason berth were all but over.

The Bulldawgs missed 17 field goals on their way to a paltry 13 points in the half while allowing run roughshod on their way to a 25-13 lead at the break.

An intense gut check at halftime fed the Bulldawgs as they outscored the Tigers 34-22 in the second half to force overtime.
