Cove goes 1-3 in State 7-on-7 Tournament

Missing were the thunderous crunches of helmets and shoulder pads making contact at break-neck speeds, but ever-present were the competitive screeches echoing through the 11 fields used during the Adidas 7 v 7 State Tournament at the Veterans Park and Athletic Complex in College Station. 64 teams from across the state of Texas battled it out for supremacy in two divisions with just two teams left standing when the smoke cleared. 7-on-7 football is a game of finesse and that may have played against the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs over the weekend. The Bulldawgs rely on their physical, aggressive style of play on both sides of the ball during the 11-man tackle football. That approach doesn’t bode well for the 7-on-7 season.
