Cove football moving in right direction

Over a third of spring practice has come and gone and Copperas Cove head football coach and athletic director Jack Welch likes the direction the team is heading, especially on defense where the coaching staff is really focusing their attention in the early goings. “Defensively is where our work has really been focusing,” said Welch. “We’ve got good people in there, its just a matter of meshing together and it takes it a while defensively but I think we’re getting better. These next few scrimmages will tell us a lot and that’s real critical for us.
