Cove bowlers earn split against Killeen

The Copperas Cove boys’ bowling team remained perfect on the season with a 15-2 victory over the Roos Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes. James Norris led the Dawgs to victory with a 217 average in match play to help propel his team to a 7-0 lead after match play. Norris shot a 222 in game 1 and followed that up with a 212 to best his Killeen opponent Mark Style who shot a combined 382 (181, 201). Norris is third in the district with a 200.6 average behind Harker Heights’ Christian Phan (237.33) and Killeen’s Mark Styles (203.5).
