CCYFL, adult sports face cuts

In an attempt to balance the city’s budget, Copperas Cove City Manager Andrea Gardner recommended cutting the tackle football program from the Parks and Recreation roster of sports, along with the entire adult sports program – men’s and coed softball and coed kickball – during a council meeting on Tuesday. “What the City Manager proposed to the council on Tuesday is that we don’t have tackle football,” said Joseph Pace, director of the Copperas Cove Parks and Recreation Department.
