Carlisle signs with Sul Ross

Copperas Cove senior guard, Xylina Carlisle recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Sul Ross Lady Lobos in Alpine during a signing ceremony at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center in Killeen on Thursday. “I’m very excited and I’m very glad to have this opportunity,” said Carlisle. “It was a surprise. I was hoping it came about because I was wanting to go to college for basketball.” Carlisle is the 22nd Copperas Cove athlete this year who signed to play at the next level. She decided on Sul Ross after a visit prompted by her coaches.
