Bulldawgs land seven players on All-District Baseball List

The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs battled to an 18-15-1 record and an 11-5 District 12-6A record and no. 3 sedd in the 2019 baseball championships under first-year head coach Bob Macy
The coaches of District 12-6A recently honored seven Bulldawgs by naming them to the 12-6A All-District Baseball list.
Senior Josh Ropple and junior Chris Lingo were named to the First Team Pitchers squad.
Ropple finished the season with a 5-2 record with a 1.706 earned run average. He allowed 22 runs (13 earned) on 50 hits while striking out 64 batters, walking 16 and hitting nine in 53 1/3 innings. Ropple also led the team in batting. He had 36 hits in 95 at bats for a .379 batting average and had eight extra-base hits, including a home run. He scored 13 runs and had a team-high 34 runs batted in.
Lingo was 6-1 as a starter with a 2.417 ERA. He allowed 19 runs (16 earned) on 28 hits while striking out 62, walking 29 and hitting 10 in 46.1 innings. 
Senior Colby Jost was named First Team Second Baseman. He was second on the team in batting average with .356 and RBIs with 25. He was 37 for 104 with 11 doubles, three triples and a home run. He also led the team in slugging percentage at .548. Jost also turned 12 double plays, had 28 putouts and 45 assists as a defender.
Senior Michael Goudeau was named a First Team Outfielder. He was third on the team with a .350 batting average and led the team in on base percentage with .532. He was 28 for 80 with nine doubles. Goudeau was tied for second with Jost in runs scored with 31. He also led the team in walks with 21 and hit by pitch with 10.
Freshman Travis Sanders was named First Team Utility. The shortstop was 28 for 94 for a .298 batting average. He led the team in runs scored with 37 and added 15 RBIs from the lead-off position. He was also tied for second-best in walks with junior Cam Petet at 19. Sanders had 34 putouts, 61 assists and turned 15 double plays at shortstop.
Sophomore Rusty Cochran was named 2nd Team Outfielder along with senior Nick Izquierdo.
Cochran was fourth on the team in batting average with.316. He was 25 for 79 with four doubles and a home run. He knocked home 14 runs and scored 19 runs of his own. 
Izquierdo was 23 for 83 batting for a .277 average. He scored 20 runs and drove home 15 more.
Belton senior Dylan Blomquist was named District MVP while Midway junior Jackson Berry was named Most Valuable Pitcher. Ellison senior Preston Mills was named Offensive MVP and Midway senior Tripp Clark was named Defensive MVP. The Co-Newcomer of the Year nod went to Ellison freshman Joseph Marin and Killeen freshman Carlos Ramon.
Also selected to the First Team were Belton junior Chase King (pitcher), Temple senior Corey Goynes (pitcher), Midway senior Mason Ling (pitcher), Ellison sophomore Julian Vascot (catcher), Ellison senior Edward Eakin (1st base), Midway senior Couper Cornblum (shortstop), Ellison senior Brian Gardner (3rd base), Ellison senior Tye Hill (outfielder), Belton senior Preston Rozner (outfielder), Harker Heights senior Josh Ratcliffe (outfielder), Midway junior Elijah Rodriguez (outfielder), Midway junior Joseph Redfield (outfielder), and Midway senior Nolan Rodriguez (designated hitter).
Also selected to the Second Team were Belton junior Jace Stephen (pitcher), Waco senior Travis Beauchamp (pitcher), Killeen senior Alnaldo Lonzo (pitcher), Temple sophomore Aaron Wagaman (pitcher),  Harker Heights senior Spencer Young (pitcher),  Midway junior Logan Pace (pitcher), Harker Heights senior Jackson Rinehart (catcher), Killeen senior Jackson Taylor (1st base), Harker Heights junior Chan Rinehart (1st base), Belton senior Connor Carothers (2nd base), Belton senior Chase Fentress (shortstop), Temple senior Adrian Carlos (3rd base), Shoemaker junior Benjamin Hamilton (outfielder),  Ellison senior Alex Oquendo (outfielder),  Waco senior Sam Barron (outfielder),  Temple senior Riley McNeill (outfielder) and Midway junior Will Nixon (outfielder).
