Copperas Cove senior running back Trent Canion runs through a huge hole opened by his offensive line in the first half of the Dawgs 62-38 win over A&M Consolidated Friday at Bulldawg Stadium.

‘Dawg offense balanced in win'

Last year, to begin his varsity football career, junior quarterback Manny Harris broke Robert Griffin III’s single game passing record with a 516-yard, four touchdown performance against A&M Consolidated in a 44-41 loss on a last-second kickoff return that was lateraled multiple times and went viral on YouTube. That loss was a tough one to take and, for senior Derris Prater, it was great getting that win back for his teammates. “We really wanted to get them back,” he said. “That last play stung and you can’t get that out of your head but it felt good to get that win back this year.”
