VFW Post 8577 will host its annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 7, honoring veterans of all branches of military service.
This year’s theme is “All Veterans,” and community members are invited to participate in the celebration.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and follow the route from the post parking lot, along Veterans Avenue, turning on to Main Street, then left on Avenue F passing in front of the Methodist Church, to S. 1st Street, then a final turn onto Avenue D and finishing at the Cove Terrace Shopping Center Parking Lot.
Following the parade, participants and attendees can gather at the VFW Post Home for a traditional meal of pinto beans, cornbread and desserts. Awards will be presented in each parade entry category during the gathering.
Those interested in participating may register through the VFW Post 8577 website at vfw8577.com/veterans-day-parade.html, visit the Post Home or call for an entry form.
