The Crossroads To Texas Quilt Guild is presenting its 16th Shades of Texas Quilt Show on March 18 and 19 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center.

In existence for 32 years, the guild has held a show biannually. Next weekend, the hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with admission being $6 each day. The event will have approximately 200 quilts on display, as well as vendors. Tickets will be sold for a drawing to be held on Saturday, in which a quilt handmade by guild members will be given away. “Misty Morning” is an 88- by 86-inch quilt, with tickets $1 each or six tickets for $5.

During the day on Saturday, at 10:00, 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., a quilt turning will take place. Traditionally, a quilt turning helps air out a quilt and stretch it. At the quilt show, a variety of quilts will be turned as the story behind each of them is shared.
