Bargain seekers and treasure hunters rejoiced Saturday morning as a portion of Avenue E was closed for the city wide garage sale, hosted by the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce ambassadors. Over a dozen booths filled with clothing, movies, china, knickknacks, and yes, a kitchen sink, provided a morning full of digging looking for that perfect item. There were a handful of residents simply looking to make some extra cash on their unwanted items. However, a majority of the booths were operated by individuals for charity.
