The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) announced on Friday that it has awarded a $5,000 Business Improvement Grant to Kiln + Cone, located at 105 E. Avenue E in downtown Copperas Cove.

The Business Improvement Grant Program provides reimbursement funding to help local business and property owners invest in visible, long-term improvements to their commercial spaces. The program supports projects such as façade improvements, signage, site enhancements, and permanent building upgrades that strengthen the appearance and functionality of local businesses.

Kiln + Cone used the funds to remodel the former restaurant building into a new business concept offering paint-your-own pottery and ice cream, adding a new family-friendly environment to downtown Copperas Cove.

“The Business Improvement Grant Program is designed to encourage reinvestment in our existing businesses and create a strong sense of place throughout the community,” said Sean Stevens, Assistant Executive Director of the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation. “We are excited to support Kiln + Cone and their continued growth downtown.”

The Business Improvement Grant Program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is available to eligible for-profit businesses, property owners, and tenants within the Copperas Cove city limits. Grants are a 50 percent reimbursement, with a maximum award of $5,000.
