You’ve probably heard the story about the Hendersons of Hurricane, Utah. They’re the parents who decided to cancel Christmas for their three boys, aged 11, 8 and 5. Why would they decide to do something so Grinch- like? I mean, after all, Christmas is for children, isn’t it? Well, it’s a simple case of what my husband and I call brat-itis. Lisa Henderson shared in her November 24 blog post about she and her husband’s decision. “John and I feel like we are fighting a very hard uphill battle with our kids when it comes to entitlement. It is one of the biggest struggles as a parent these days in middle class America.
