Command Sergeant Major Douglas Galick of Copperas Cove has been selected as a Central Texas College 2026 Distinguished Alumnus, honoring his exceptional military career, leadership, and service to the nation.
A graduate of Central Texas College, Galick currently serves as the Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the senior enlisted advisor for an organization that supports military operations and vital civil works projects around the world.
His selection as a CTC Distinguished Alumnus reflects a career marked by dedication, professional excellence, and commitment to developing future leaders.
With nearly three decades of service in the United States Army, Galick has held leadership positions at every level, serving in assignments across the United States and overseas.
Throughout his military career, he has been responsible for mentoring soldiers, advising senior leaders, and ensuring mission readiness in complex operational environments.
Galick’s extensive experience includes key leadership roles supporting military engineering, combat operations, and strategic initiatives across the Army. His service has helped strengthen the Army’s ability to execute missions worldwide while fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
A highly decorated soldier, Galick’s honors include the Legion of Merit, multiple Bronze Star Medals, and numerous other awards recognizing his leadership and contributions to the Army. His achievements reflect a steadfast commitment to service and a reputation for excellence among peers and subordinates alike.
Galick is currently stationed in Washington, D.C., with the U.S. Army. As Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galick continues to influence the next generation of military leaders while supporting an organization that delivers critical engineering, infrastructure, and environmental solutions around the globe.
