A Copperas Cove couple was arrested in the 500 block of North Main St. in Copperas Cove on Thursday morning.

Jeffrey Holbrook Tuiasosopo and Darla Denise Tuiasosopo were arrested on an indictment, for misappropriation of fiduciary/financial property over or equal to $200,000, according to the daily police bulletin for Dec. 4.

Coryell County District Attorney Dusty Boyd stated that the Texas State Securities Board handled the investigation of misappropriated investor funds, and that it covered the time period of 2012 through the present.

Jeffrey Tuiasosopo is listed as the chief executive officer of a company called O Le Oasis, LLC, with Darla Tuiasosopo listed as the Chief Financial Officer. She also owns and operates Five Loaves Two Fish Catering and is employed as the receptionist for Cove House. It is not known at this time if O Le Oasis is still in business.

The company previously had a suite at 914 S. Main St., the site of Copperas Cove City Hall.

However, according to city records, when the City of Copperas Cove purchased the property in 2013, O Le Oasis occupied Suite H and the city was allowing them to remain there through the end of their lease. However, the city broke that lease after rent had not been paid by the company for the first four months of 2014.

O Le Oasis touted itself as being “committed to the systematic, aggressive and rapid economic development of Copperas Cove and to the transformation of this city into a premier special events and Texas tourism destination of choice. Our Mission: Serving those who serve by striving to make Copperas Cove a True Destination, not just a Location!”

The Coryell County District Clerk’s office said in a Monday morning email to a query about the indictment, that at this time no records are available for Jeffrey Tuiasosopo or Darla Tuiasosopo.

The couple was released on a $5,000 surety bond after being arraigned by Coryell County Justice of the Peace Bill Price, said Lt. Kevin Miller with the Copperas Cove Police Department.
